If you follow our social media channels you know we love sensory activities! We know how important these are for every child’s development, especially those who struggle with sensory processing. They allow children to explore, discover, imagine, create, and learn while engaging many of their senses. Aside from being a healthy part of learning and play for all children (ideal for 6+ months), sensory play impacts many areas of a child’s development, such as color recognition, language and vocabulary development, hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, problem solving, emotional development, trial & error, visual perception, cognitive development, imaginative play, among others.

Sensory play is also a great way to bond with your little one. The possibilities of different activities are endless and they can be entertained for long. You will find that these activities are not only fun for them, it’s fun for us to see them enjoy it too! You will certainly love their reaction to sensory experiences.

How fun would it be to be able to play in the snow without leaving home? Today we show you how to make pretend snow for sensory play. Either playing snowball war, making a snowman, or just feeling the fake snow, this sensory activity is a must try with your baby.

How to do it:

Empty a large bag of baking soda y in a large plastic bowl. Pour a little bit of conditioner in it (yes, hair conditioner) and mix well together with your hands. Add a little more conditioner and mix some more, until you get to the desired “snowy” texture.
